We opened January 2008 with myself, my chef Jason, my mom Deb, my husband Justin, and my best friend Lauren. It was a leap of faith on a shoestring budget with lots of favors, a hope and a prayer. We were wondering if anybody would show up, and they did more than we ever could have expected!
Needless to say it took a few days, weeks, months to get the kinks out, but we managed to pull it together. During that time we found a few more great people, we even coaxed my dad into helping some. We have made a lot of small changes and tweaking here and there. We serve lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday, we have a good wine list, beer and liquor. We are now a Real restaurant!!
It’s a quaint little spot, barely noticeable from the street but inside it is warm and friendly and always smells like good food. On the weekends we have acoustical music and when it’s warm we have a great patio. Jason is awesome, he makes everything form scratch, he loves to push the limits and creates things that continue to blow my mind! We love what we do and we love being part of downtown, and we hope to be here for a long time.
